The Why Behind My Journey
Parenting does not come with any manual. TOUGH STUFF. The why behind it is simple, I want to be a better mom. I simply want to know my kids. I want to know how their brains are working. I want to help them be able to identify emotions. I want more than behavior modification. I want to know them on a deeper level.
So here is how this is going to work. I would love a tribe to walk alongside me as I dive in head first. This is designed not only for parents, but anyone who works with kiddos. If you are wanting to have a deeper relationship with the kids around you please join me. I understand not everyone will read every book with me. Not everyone will be interested in every book. I get it. What is great about this is that we are all flying by the seat of our pants so you can find a book that works for you. For instance, I do not have any books about dads being dads. I am not a dad. If I have a book on the line up that does not pertain to you simply skip that month or find a different book that catches your eye.
I will present a book on the 15th prior to the month I begin reading (i.e. on June 15th I will share what book I am reading beginning July 1st). I will give a brief description of the book along with my reading plan for the month. Some months will have two books depending on the gender of your children, etc. If you have both feel free to choose one or read both books. Go as fast or as slow as you feel led. I will also have supplemental readings, videos, prayers & podcasts.
